Wow, what a surprise for me this Sunday to find that this received a Daily Deviation!!! Thank you so much for this honor and many thanks to everyone who has recently faved this piece (my mailbox is overflowing, lol).

A symbolic rather than a literal piece, created for my very dear friend who celebrates her birthday on June 10 - Happy Birthday Kat!!!! I hope you like this I wanted to call this "In Celebration of Tree Elementals" but the title was too long for DA

The idea is derived from a number of passions Kat and I share, one of which is, of course, trees. Trees are a symbol of life, of regeneration and sacred knowledge. The Celts believed that the first human being was descedant from trees. Druids developed the practice of tree magik, especially in relation to healing. They have been the home of wood nymphs/elementals and the keepers of sacred circles.
