I had so much fun creating "Summer's Child" from a statue photo reference that I decided to try another. I don't thnk this one worked as well, but it was a fun self-challenge!

Edit Oct 6 2007 was inspired by the theme of this piece and wrote this wonderful poem

While Angels Sleep

While angels sleep
The world falls silent
Songbirds no longer sing
Their heavenly chorus of gentle lullabies.
While angels sleep
The world grows bleak
Stars no longer shimmer
Across the night time sky
While angels sleep
The world seems cold
Lovers fail to find
The spark within their restless hearts.
